At Level 7 Solutions, we never rest! We never cease in our commitment to learn and stay
up-to-date with the latest in Search Engine Optimization and Ranking techniques,
newest technologies, and the latest web, Internet,
and programming standards.
In this business, as with any IT-related business, a few moments of complacency and
you're out of the game; far behind with a steep, uphill climb to get back. New technologies
are what excite us! If we can find something what will give our clients that extra edge,
more automation, easier tasks, it's been a good day indeed.
Here is a list of some of the current technologies we are proficient in today:
Web Technologies
- HTML 4.x
- XHTML - the language all pages will soon be written in. All our sites are coded
using this emerging standard.
- Latest Search Engine Optimization techniques. What was a trick to get better rankings
yesterday, might get you blacklisted today. If you don't keep up, you're in trouble.
- ASP.NET - Microsoft's latest web application programming language.
- Compact HTML (cHTML) - sites can be made to be viewable from PDAs or handheld computers
- WAP - Wireless Application Protocol for displaying web pages on older cell phones.
- Flash - a little goes a long way. We never recommend websites built entirely
with Flash (primarily because search engines don't rank them), but a little
animation can create a nice effect.
- E-commerce - we have developed our own custom shopping cart
for proving our clients with high-quality, secure Internet shopping and product catalogs
- Web Portals - We use the open-source
dotNetNuke portal system for our clients
that need a highly modifiable and interactive website and content management system.
Programming
- C# - newest, hottest object-oriented programming language today
- VB.NET - newest evolution of Microsoft's Visual Basic language
- SQL - database programming, SQL stored procedures, etc.
Databases
- Microsoft SQL Server - our database of choice. We use the power and security of
Stored Procedures within SQL Server extensively.
- MySQL - open-source, very powerful database mainly used with Linux and PHP applications
- Oracle - some of our staff have extensive knowledge of Oracle's very powerful database tools
